Aubrey is a provisionally licensed counselor (PLPC) working under the direct supervision of Andrew Jovanovic. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Sociology with a minor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Maryville University. She completed her master’s degree in professional counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2020. She is a member of the American Counseling Association. She has obtained certifications in Disaster and Distress Helpline (DDH), Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
Aubrey has experience working with people in crisis, trauma, survivors of domestic violence, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and people dealing with suicidal ideations. She is eager and ready to work with all populations. Aubrey is diverse, compassionate, and openminded. She realizes that change can be scary, and that asking for help takes immense courage. She hopes to provide a space for clients to express past and present concerns while collaborating to identify the best coping skills and strategies to meet their individual goals. Her goal is to make her clients feel heard, validated, and accepted.
