Jennifer Espenschied is an MA, CIT engaged in providing mental health services to clients directly supervised by Julia Dooley, MA, LPC, RPT and is not affiliated with any other clinician in this office. Jennifer completed her Degree in both Professional and School Counseling at Lindenwood University. Jennifer has experience working with children as a Physical Education Teacher of 15 years and currently works as a School Counselor. Jennifer is trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and is working under the supervision of Julia Dooley towards certification as a Registered Play Therapist.
Jennifer believes in treating the whole person and that emotional, physical and spiritual health are intertwined. She is passionate about researching the area of neuroscience and how it applies to the counseling field. Jennifer enjoys working with both children and adults. She has experience in working with children struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood regulation issues, grief, and trauma. Jennifer knows that each person is an individual and she works hard to choose the therapy style that fits best with each person’s unique story, personality and needs. She believes that children and adults are resilient and within a secure relationship, when given the tools that personally work for them, they can learn, heal, grow and overcome.
