Joshua is a provisionally licensed professional counselor under the direct supervision of Shala Taylor MA, LPC. He has a Masters of Arts. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Applied Management from Hickey College in 2013. While currently working at Lindenwood University, Joshua has cultivated his passion for helping others through personal mental health challenges. As an adoptee, Joshua recognized the importance of counseling in the black community. He has always been passionate about working with adolescents, college age students, young adults, and couples. He has always felt that couples are a neglected segment of the population in the black community especially when it comes to couples on their way to marriage. As a member of the Christian faith, Joshua wants to be another resource for Christians to be able to work out their life issues through faith related solutions.

Joshua currently holds a certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health First Aid. Additionally, he is working toward a certification in Play Therapy.
