Intern
she / her
Liz is a counseling intern under the supervision of Jean Moretto, PhD, LPC. Liz is enrolled in Webster University’s Professional Counseling (emphasis on Clinical Mental Health) Master’s Program. She has enjoyed a winding professional path starting with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia, 1986, which led her to careers in Finance and Human Resources. Liz worked for a time as a professional artist specializing in painting murals. She was most inspired by decades of community service working with youth and adolescents motivating her to pursue a career in counseling to help positively impact people’s lives. Liz enjoys working with youth, adolescents, families, and adults.
Liz hopes to create a caring, supportive, judgement-free environment to help her clients move towards personal growth and wellbeing. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques and a Person-Centered approach to help her clients progress towards changes they want to make for themselves. She walks with clients as they achieve better coping skills, adjust to life’s challenges, and face difficult situations past and present.
