Suzanne is a Counseling Intern under the supervision of William Collins, MA, LPC. She is enrolled in Webster University’s Master’s program in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health. She believes in the transformative power of counseling to help people realize goals related to their values and improve overall well-being. Her aim in working collaboratively with clients from adolescence to older ages is to provide a safe, culturally sensitive, and trusting space that helps individuals tap into their personal experiences to find meaning, develop strengths, and deepen their self-understanding in ways that can foster change and lead to a more satisfying life. Her therapeutic approaches are person-centered and psychodynamic. Prior to pursuing a degree in counseling, Suzanne was a philosophy professor with a focus on emotions and existentialism. She has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from George Mason University and earned a doctorate in philosophy at Rutgers University. Suzanne became an Academic Associate at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute in 2023 after completing its course of study in adult psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
