Willow received her Master’s of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University. She has completed EMDR 1 & 2 training, as well as a supplemental training for using EMDR with the LGBTQIA+ community.
For Willow, creating a safe space for individuals to explore their authentic selves is of the upmost importance. She values a therapeutic setting of non-judgment and unconditional positive regard. She places emphasis on identifying and deconstructing shame in order for clients to claim who they are and experiencing their own beauty and meaning.
Advocacy and the creation of safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals is a passion for Willow. She has experience working with members of the transgender and non-binary communities, ace community, and a wide variety of individuals with differing sexual identities. Willow also creates a safe space for clients with alternative relationship styles such as polyamory or other forms of consensual non-monogamy.
Willow has experience working with clients struggling with grief, identity, spirituality, life transitions, anxiety, depressive symptoms, trauma, and family/relationship issues.
