Thomas Crees is a counseling intern under the direct supervision of Dr. Jean Moretto, PhD, LPC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Webster University in 2021 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.
Before transitioning to the counseling field, Thomas served nearly a decade in law enforcement, and Thomas is also a U.S. Army veteran. Thomas has worked in the nonprofit sector, applying evidence-based practices to criminal justice reform, addiction medicine, homelessness, and community violence.
Thomas takes a person-centered, integrative approach to therapy, incorporating techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and solution-focused strategies to meet each client’s unique needs. He is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to anxiety, trauma, addiction, and grief. His goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, develop coping skills, and achieve meaningful goals.
Passionate about fostering resilience and self-awareness, Thomas empowers individuals to uncover their inner strengths. He views therapy as a collaborative process, working alongside clients to develop practical solutions that align with their values and lifestyles.
