Emma Harrelson

Intern

She/her/hers

Emma is an intern under the supervision of Dr. Jean Moretto, PhD, LPC. She received her Bachelor's in Psychology from Truman State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Emma is passionate and has experience working with trauma, anxiety, women’s issues, depression, grief, and relationship issues. She primarily works with adolescents and adults, and she has experience working with folks from diverse backgrounds and identities.

Her approach is primarily person-centered and includes the use of Internal Family Systems, CBT, and DBT modalities. She understands it can be intimidating to seek out counseling, but Emma intends to meet everyone where they are and provide a safe environment for holistic growth, healing, and self-discovery. She believes every person has the inner strength to heal, and she views therapy as a partnership in working towards your goals.
