Jean earned her Master's Degree in Counseling and Doctorate in Counseling Education at Saint Louis University. Jean founded Walter’s Walk in 2010 and currently serves as Executive Director.

Jean has served as a Licensed Professional counselor since 1998, volunteering time with Almost Home Shelter, Catholic Family Services, and in private practice. Jean has certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Couple and Individual Communication through Interpersonal Communication Programs, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Jean is an EMDRIA and EMDR HAP Consultant.

Jean provides supervision for licensure applicants with the State of Missouri’s Board of Professional Registration for Licensed Professional Counselors. She provides supervision for students in their Master’s Degree program for counseling from various universities. She also provides consultation for EMDR trained clinicians.

She is a member of numerous national and local organizations including: National Board for Certified Counselors, Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri, Missouri Mental Health Counselors Association, American Counseling Association (at national, state and local levels), Fellow with American Psychotherapy Association, Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit National Honor Society, Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals and MO Crisis Intervention Team for First Responders.

Jean eagerly walks alongside clients, helping them navigate through life stressors using EMDR therapy and a variety of other therapeutic modalities. Jean believes accessing one’s inner strengths and teaching how to incorporate these strengths into daily life will allow for personal growth to occur.

Adult individual, couple, and group sessions are available.
