Marie A. Dixon, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and she received her Masters of Social Work Degree from Washington University in 2003. Marie is the owner of Gaining Perspectives L.L.C. engaged in private practice providing mental health services directly to clients at Walter’s Walk. Marie holds to an eclectic approach to therapy in order to promote collaboration between therapist and client. Marie has been licensed by the state of Missouri since 2012 and has a background working in non-profit settings, hospital settings, community mental health setting as well as crisis intervention services within the social services field.

Marie is certified by the National Board for Social Workers; is trained in Behavioral Modification, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Brief Therapy (SFBT), crisis intervention techniques, client centered trauma informed care and a Sex Offender Treatment Provider (SOTP). She has experience in child welfare to include foster care, residential care and adoption. She also has experience parenting and co-parenting issues, anger management issues, relationship issues, chronic severe mental illness, and stress management.
