Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker has spent the last twenty years of her career in the field of Education. During that time she has provided and facilitated access to counseling services through the lens of a school social worker, professional school counselor and school district leader. She is skilled at assessment, treatment planning and general K-12 school consultation related to behavior and intervention planning. Dr. Powell-Walker utilizes a holistic approach as she works with clients to improve social and emotional well-being on the journey to self-actualization.
Dr. Powell-Walker possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She is a provisionally licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri (under the supervision of Jason Thompson, M.A., LPC), possessing a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a certified professional school counselor. Dr. Powell-Walker also has an earned Doctorate in Education with emphasis on Teacher Leadership. Dr. Powell-Walker has experience with individual, couples, marriage and family or group counseling.
